Trump is real. We checked.
We have reached a remarkable point in Maltese politics where the Office of the Prime Minister has had to officially confirm that Robert Abela was photographed with the actual Donald Trump – and not a cardboard cut-out.
Apparently, social media noticed that Trump looked suspiciously identical in photographs with various world leaders.
Naturally, conspiracy theories followed.
The OPM has now confirmed that the Trump in the photograph was real.
Excellent.
Because in these difficult times, Malta needs certainty.
Trump is real. The photograph is real. The cardboard cut-out was fake.
The only thing left to establish is whether Robert Abela is actually real – or whether he is the cardboard cut-out.
We await the OPM clarification.
